Week 14 Blog

DR. SEUSS: THE ZAX

This video shows how the Zax never wants to change. This is true in today's world. I wish the world would not change so much because every once in awhile, life gets confusion. But the world does change as well as life. I just have to go along with it even if it is scary. I am willing to change along to do whatever it takes to make education easier on the students. I will do whatever it takes to make sure that my future students will get the benefits they need to make it in life. It will not be easy because life is never easy. I believe that changes are good because what would life be without change?

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT FOR STUDENTS TO POST THEIR WORK ONLINE?

At first, I would not be one of those who would have posted work online because of exposure. But being in this class and seeing all of the works of young kids online has really change my mind a little bit. I mean after see the video with Keia: http://dearkaia.blogspot.com/2009/09/first-photo-essay.html, a young
child is learning to take pictures and posting them online with the help of her father;
and the video by Dan Brown:
a student reaching out to the world say how educators are wasting time teaching
things that are irrelavant to us; and a couple of kids' videos: http://pesteam2.blogspot.com/,
a bunch of kids learning how to use blogging.

Seeing all of these works open my eyes to see that it is important to post works
online because it shows that all of us can learn how to use technology. It also
shows that technology can help us improve our education: it helps come up with
better ways to teach to students. It helps us research things faster, communicate
around the world, and provide better opportunities for everyone. There are probably
many more reasons, but I believe these are the three main important reasons why
students' work should be posted online.

  1. The more we participate with the world, the more we learn. And that is what teachers are supposed to facilitate.
